A Journey into the Historical and Cultural Heritage of Aksaray by ASÜ TÖMER Students

Students from the Aksaray University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (ASÜ TÖMER) had the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural riches of Aksaray firsthand during a cultural excursion organized by AKUDER (Aksaray International Student Association). The international students, who have come to ASÜ TÖMER from various countries to learn the Turkish language and culture, visited several of the city’s iconic landmarks as part of the program. The itinerary included visits to the Grand Mosque (Ulucami), the Zinciriye Madrasa, the Leaning Minaret (Eğri Minare), the Selime Cathedral, and the village of Saratlı. A lunch was also hosted for the visiting students, providing them with an opportunity to socialize and connect in a warm, friendly atmosphere. Delighted to discover Aksaray’s historical heritage and experience Turkish culture in person, the ASÜ TÖMER students expressed their gratitude to the representatives of AKUDER for organizing the event. The program concluded with a group photograph taken to commemorate the day.
