Information Session Held for International Students by the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management
Organized by the Aksaray University (ASÜ) International Relations Coordination Office in collaboration with the Aksaray Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, a comprehensive information and consultation session was held for international students studying at our university.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Aksaray Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, representatives from the ASÜ International Relations Coordination Office, the administration of the Aksaray University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (ASÜ TÖMER), academic staff, and international students.
During the session, officials from the Aksaray Provincial Directorate of Migration Management delivered detailed presentations covering key topics, including the application and renewal processes for residence permits, address registration procedures, health insurance requirements, and general administrative protocols involving official institutions. The rights and responsibilities of the students were highlighted, and critical points to consider throughout legal processes were shared.
Students Conveyed Their Challenges and Proposed Solutions Directly to the Authorities
In a session structured around mutual dialogue and an interactive Q&A format, international students had the opportunity to directly address the officials from the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management regarding issues such as disruptions in residence permit appointment processes, delays during document verification stages, and other practical challenges encountered in their daily lives. The students did not merely voice the problems they were experiencing; they also shared their own proposed solutions with the authorities to help streamline the processes. Officials from the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management took note of every request and issue raised, and provided the necessary guidance regarding the steps to be taken toward a resolution.
